Development update
Though an update for the game will be a bit later on, I wanted to update you on the construction of the game.
A Shard's Tale, as it says, is a tale about a shard. Well...actually about several shards. It revolves around finding shards and understanding the implications of them. Though it will be possible to run through the entire game in one go, it is very likely you will come to a part where it will require you to replay the game, to pass the 'gateway'.
To explain a bit, here is a division of the 'parts' of the game.
The first part of the game, will be 8 chapters. This will be the introduction of several characters and also much about the shards.
The second part is a two chapter part, which is the gateway and the filter.
The third part is another 8 chapter part, which will give the player the possibility to experience things in a different perspective and the results of the previous quests.
To be honest, there will be a DLC added for some special parts. This is done for two reasons: 1. I want the story to be the main focus for the player. 2. To create a new wave of how to access certain items in Visual Novels. This will become clear later on.
The title of the game isn't just chosen on random. Of course it is an alliteration of 'A bard's tale'. This goes deeper than you might think, so take that into account when playing the game now and in the future.
